KOMPAS.com – Up to 4,000 health workers in Banten did not receive the Covid-19 vaccine because they had congenital diseases.

This was discovered after 4,000 of Banten’s 41,000 health workers completed data and disease history in the Health Ministry’s SISDMK.

In detail, the congenital diseases found are diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney failure, etc.

Not only that, medical personnel who have been exposed to Covid-19 will also not receive a vaccine.

Of these, it is recorded that there are about 36,000 health workers who will be vaccinated.

The vaccination itself is scheduled to take place on January 14, 2021.

Banten Provincial Health Office chief Dr. Ati Pramudji Hastuti said that according to data from the Health Human Resources Information System there were 41,000 health workers in Banten.

Of the 41,000, there are 4,000 healthcare workers with congenital or comorbid conditions.

Ati said that 4,000 health workers in Banten suffered from congenital diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney failure, etc.

“So there are around 36,000 selected healthcare workers who will be vaccinated,” Ati told reporters at Banten Pharmacy Warehouse on Monday (1/4/2021).

The same was said by Banten Deputy Governor Andika Hazrumy, who said that medical personnel who do not meet these requirements will not receive vaccines because it is feared that it will have a negative impact on their immune system.

“So we don’t just inject it for healthcare workers. If you have a congenital disease, you can’t inject it,” Andika said, quoted in TribunBanten.com.
