FPI Undersecretary General Azis Yanuar said bank accounts in the name of the FPI had been frozen after being dissolved by the government. According to him, the account contained tens of millions of rupees.

However, Azis said, his party would not file any legal recourse to reopen the account. According to him, everything is in the hands of Allah the Almighty.

The government officially dissolved the mass organization the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) led by Habib Muhammad Rizieq Shihab. The dissolution was transmitted directly by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
“That FPI has since June 2019 been dissolved as an organization. However, it continues to carry out activities that violate order and security that are contrary to the law, raids and provocations,” said Mahfud.
The dissolution of the FPI is based on a Joint Decree (SKB) of six high-ranking state officials regarding the prohibition of activities using symbols and attributes, as well as the termination of the activities of the FPI numbered 220-4780 of 2020, Number M.HH-14.HH05.05 of 2020, Number 690 of 2020, Number 264 of 2020, Number KB / 3 / XII / 2020, Number 320 of 2020.
