JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan decided to extend the Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) again during the transition period.
The extension of PSBB will be decided starting tomorrow, January 4, and until January 17, 2021.
This decision is contained in the Governor’s Decree (Kepgub) Number 1295 of 2020.
“Based on BNPB and FKM UI assessment, we decided to extend PSBB’s transition period until January 17, 2021,” Anies said in a written statement on Sunday (3/1/2021).

Anies explained, based on an indicator assessment by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), DKI Jakarta managed to improve the value at medium risk as of December 27, 2020, which was previously high risk on December 20, 2020.
The evaluation score based on the Covid-19 control indicator of the Faculty of Public Health of the University of Indonesia (FKM UI) is 59 as of January 2, 2021.
Compared to the previous weeks, this figure has decreased, meaning a score of 61 on December 19 and December 26.

A score higher than 60 means that the PSBB can be relaxed in various sectors through gradual evaluation (evaluation).
If it is below 60, some adjustments will be necessary in certain sectors.
Looking at the latest data, the total Covid-19 cases in DKI Jakarta as of Jan 3, 2021 was recorded as 189,243 cases.
Of these cases, 170,510 patients were declared cured, 15,388 patients were still under treatment and 3,345 patients died.
