Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud Md commented on the case of an unpleasant conversation with the suspect Habib Rizieq Shihab, which was reopened. According to him, the legal process must continue.

Mahfud Md initially responded to a question on Ma’mun Murod’s Twitter account about the HRS case which was reopened. Mafud said he did not pursue the case from the beginning.

“We only await the process in the police. There are people from the preventive prison, it was granted by the judge. I have not followed this case from the beginning, it is a judicial matter,” said Mafud on his twitter account, as seen. detikcom, Saturday (02/12/2020).

Then, Mahfud admitted that he had asked the police about the nasty chat case. He asked for the legal process to continue, but did not want to know the content of the chat that was mentioned between Habib Rizieq and Firza Husein.

“I only asked the police. They said the chat incident took place in 2016, it was investigated but then it was sent to SP 3 when MRS (Muhammad Rizieq Shihab) was in Saudi Arabia. Now there are those who pretend that SP 3 is legitimate, the legal process must continue. I don’t know and I don’t want to know, “he said.

Earlier, the investigating judge at the South Jakarta District Court ordered the nasty chat case of Habib Rizieq Shihab, whose investigative process was stopped by the police, to be reopened. This was mentioned on the basis of a pre-trial decision in the South Jakarta (PN) District Court.

This was revealed by the petitioner’s lawyer, Aby Febriyanto. Expect all parties to obey and implement the pre-trial decision.

“Today, the South Jakarta District Court issued a final decision for the HRS and FH pre-trial case for alleged nasty pornographic talk whose case was stopped or SP3 (investigation termination order) by the police whose decision it ordered that the defendant was the Jakarta Police in here to open and resume the legal process of HRS and the FH itself, “said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Aby Febriyanto Dunggio, in the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (29 / 12/2020).
