JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo signed Government Regulation Number 76 of 2020 on Rates and Fees on Non-Tax State Revenue Rates (PNBP) that apply to Indonesian Police.
Quoted from PP sheet, Saturday (2/1/2021) there are 31 types of PNBP that are applied within the Indonesian Police.
Some of them are testing the issuance of new driver’s licenses (SIM), issuing SIM extensions, testing the issuance of driving skills test certificates, and issuing STNK.

Therefore, the PP allows 31 public service fees to be free, including the cost of making and renewing SIMs for the less fortunate.
This is reinforced by the provisions of article 7 paragraph (1) of the PP which says:

The explanatory part describes who in the community is entitled to “certain considerations”, as set out in article 7, paragraph 1.
