President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) revealed that the COVID-19 vaccination process will take place in mid-January 2021. This was expressed in his statements to welcome 2021 virtually.
He said that the COVID-19 vaccine is one of the correct strategies to stop the spread of the Corona virus.

Jokowi believes that Indonesia will be able to grow and realize many economies to recover the economy from the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the national economic recovery has begun to be felt in the third and fourth quarters of 2020.
“New investments are starting to emerge that will boost the economy of society and industry in the future so that job opportunities increase and people’s well-being is better,” he explained.
However, Jokowi said that there were absolute conditions to restore the national economy, that is, that all Indonesians continue to apply health protocols such as wearing masks, keeping distance, washing hands with soap. He also asked all people in the country not to be careless and take COVID-19 lightly.
“We must be successful in overcoming the COVID pandemic, we must be able to stop this outbreak immediately, in fact it is something that is not easy,” he said.
Jokowi further revealed that with better public health, global confidence in Indonesia would increase. Thus, the national economic recovery will occur in 2021.
“Together, God willing, we can overcome this ordeal, the year 2021 will become a historic record as a year to restore our lives,” said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
