JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government officially dissolved the community organization (ormas) of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), which was decided by a Joint Decree (SKB).
The SKB was signed by the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Law and Human Rights, the Minister of Communication and Information, the Attorney General, the Head of the National Police and the Head of the National Anti-Terrorism Agency.
The decree establishes the prohibition of activities and the use of symbols related to FPI.
“It is prohibited to carry out activities, the use of symbols and attributes of the Islamic Defenders Front within the jurisdiction of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Eddy Hiariej on Wednesday.

Not only that, legal authorities can also take action if there are still activities and the use of the FPI symbol.
SKB rules will officially take effect from December 30, 2020.
So what is the response of the DKI Jakarta provincial government after the SKB is issued? Furthermore, DKI Jakarta is the base of the FPI movement, including the location of the FPI headquarters in Petamburan, in central Jakarta.
DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that the position of the provincial government of DKI Jakarta is not to hold authority over the dissolution of mass organizations.
He said that the provincial government of DKI Jakarta would not interfere with the central government to dissolve the FPI because it was not the authority of the provincial government of DKI Jakarta.

“Feel free to do it with the Central Government, we in the Province are not going to interfere with the mass organizations,” said Riza Patria.
Ariza also explained that there have been no orders or special requests from the Central Government to DKI Pemprov regarding the measures contained in the decree of dissolution of the FPI.
“We ourselves knew it before (knowing) that the government just announced this afternoon,” Ariza said.
I can’t take action yet
The DKI Jakarta Satpol PP has also not been able to take action against the provisions of the decree of dissolution of the FPI.
Because the authority of Satpol PP is the application of the Regional Regulations (Perda), so they have to wait for the rules derived from the SKB for the dissolution of FPI at the level of DKI Province of Jakarta.
“Of course, we are still waiting what will be done in Jakarta, because Satpol PP enforces local regulation, then public order and others,” said Jakarta chief Satpol PP Arifin.

He also said that the derived rules and instructions from the DKI Provincial Government were needed because the prosecution would have direct contact with the community.
That is why, instead of a subsequent conflict because there are no derived regulations, the DKI Satpol PP has finally not implemented the contents of the SKB.
“I think this is an organization that will provide further instructions derived from what was previously delivered (SKB),” Arifin said.
It will also coordinate with the Jakarta National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) for FPI related processing.
