Former Justice Minister Muladi dies

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The former Minister of Justice (now Minister of Law and Human Rights) who was also a senior politician of the Golkar Party, Muladi, passed away on Thursday (12/13/2020).

Golkar DPP Party Chairman Ace Hasan Syadzily confirmed the news.

“That’s right. We have received news that Prof. Muladi has passed away,” Ace said when contacted. Kompas.com, Thursday.

There is no more detailed information on the cause of Muladi’s death. However, on Wednesday (12/16/2020), Muladi was reported to have tested positive for Covid-19.

At the time, Muladi reportedly needed a blood plasma donor.

“We are currently being treated at the Army Hospital, but doctors recommend blood plasma transparency, but blood reserves are running low,” said Muladi’s daughter Listy, quoted by Antara. Compass TV.

Muladi served as Minister of Justice during the reign of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). At that time, he also served as Minister of the Secretary of State (Mensesneg).

He is a Golkar Party politician and has served as Chairman of the Golkar Party Tribunal.

Ace remembers Muladi as a good leader.

“His last position was as chairman of the Supreme Court of the Golkar Party when the latter faced leadership dualism. However, it was resolved well,” Ace said.

Ace said that Golkar had a lot to lose from Muladi’s departure. He said that Muladi was the best son in the nation and Golkar.
