PR DEPOK – Through a Joint Decision Letter (SKB) signed by six ministerial officials and institutions, the government officially designated the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) as a prohibited organization.
The announcement was made at a press conference held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, in Jakarta.
With the issuance of the decree, the government determined that the FPI was a prohibited organization within the jurisdiction of Indonesia.

Therefore, all FPI activities and attributes related to it are officially prohibited.
At the press conference, the government emphasized that the public was advised not to be influenced or participate in the use of the FPI symbol.
“Ask the public not to be influenced or participate in activities that use symbols and attributes of the FPI,” said Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, quoted by YouTube Kemenko Polhukam RI.

This statement caught the attention of the wider community, including the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician Guntur Romli.
