Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Joint Decision Letter (SKB) on the dissolution and determination of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) as a prohibited organization, signed by six number one officials from state agencies and ministries.

The six persons were the Minister of the Interior, Tito Karnavian, the Minister of Communication and Information, Jhony G Plate, the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, the Chief of the National Police, Idham Azis, the Attorney General ST Burhanuddin and the head of the National Agency for Combating Terrorism, Boy Rafly Amar.

They signed SKB number 220-4780 year 2020, number M.HH-14.HH.05.05 2020, number 690 year 2020, number 264 year 2020, number KB / 3 / XII / 2020, number 320 year 2020 regarding the prohibition of activities , use of symbols and attributes, and complete FPI activities.

The SKB, which was officially signed today, Wednesday (12/30), is the basis for the government to ban and dissolve any organizational activity headed by Rizieq Shihab.

The decree also establishes that the public can report if they find the FPI carrying out activities and the police have the right to disperse any activity of the FPI.

At a press conference held at the Office of the Ministry for the Coordination of Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) said that the FPI had been considered dissolved since 2019.

The reason for the dissolution at that time, according to Mahfud, was that the FPI had not processed the documents for the extension of the permission to establish an organization to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights since last year.

“I want to convey that the FPI since June 20, 2019 has de jure dissolved as a mass organization, but as an organization, the FPI continues to carry out activities that violate order and security and are contrary to the law,” Mahfud said in a press conference.

So far FPI has not completed the requirements, so no permit extension has been pocketed. He said that there were problems related to the FPI Statutes / Regulations (AD / ART), namely related to the inclusion of the term khilafah in the AD / ART.

Previously, a telegram from the National Police had also circulated about the dissolution of the FPI. However, Mahfud called the telegram letter a hoax.
