JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government officially dissolves and stops all the activities of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) as a community organization (ormas) and organizations in general.
The decision to dissolve the FPI was approved by six senior officials from ministries and state institutions.
“The violation of the activities of the FPI was declared in a joint decision of six senior officials from the ministries and institutions,” said Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD. Compass TV, Wednesday (12/30/2020).

The six officials are the Minister of the Interior, Tito Karnavian, the Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo), Johnny G Plate.
Then the head of the National Police, General Pol Idham Azis, the attorney general ST Burhanuddin and the head of the National Agency Against Terrorism (BNPT) Boy Rafly Amar.
The six issue Joint Decree Number 220/4780 of 2020, Number M.HH / 14.HH05.05 of 2020, Number 690 of 2020, Number 264 of 2020, Number KB / 3 / XII of 2020 and Number 320 of 2020 relative a Prohibition of use of symbols and attributes and termination of FPI activities.
The Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej, who read the SKB, said that one of the considerations in the decision was to safeguard the benefit of the Pancasila ideology.
“That in order to maintain the existence of the basic ideology and consensus of the state, namely Pancasila, UUD 1945, the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia and Bhinekka Tunggal Ika,” said Eddy Hiariej, reading the SKB.
