JAKARTA – Secretary General Habib Rizieq Shihab Center (HRS Center), Haikal Hassan | has just finished being questioned by the police about his sermon on dream of meeting Rasulullah this afternoon. He admitted that they asked him about 20 questions, one of which was related to the evidence of his dream.

In response to this, the Vice Chairman of the DPR RI Commission III of the Nasdem Party faction, Ahmad Sahroni expressed his astonishment. According to Sahroni, reports on this dream are implausible and the police should have been wiser when processing a report. “I think the Haikal Hassan reports are very implausible. The police should also be cautious in accepting and following up on the report. Other work, this is in the New Year, we have a lot to do,” Sahroni told reporters on Monday (12/28/2020).

According to Sahroni, it would be better if the police did not process this report, rather than conducting an unreasonable investigation process, such as asking for evidence from a dream of meeting the Prophet.

“Yes, it is better not to follow up than to end up doing processes that do not make sense, such as requesting tests. Everyone is free to dream and express their dreams,” he lamented.

Therefore, this legislator from Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, reminded the police and his partners that everyone has the right to dream anything and meet anyone. Therefore, law enforcement officers should not issue statements like this. (Also read: Prabowo-Sandi enters the palace, Haikal Hasan: his followers enter prison)

“Anyone can dream of meeting someone or anything. If someone says they dream of being president next month, should they be the object of betrayal? Dreams are people’s rights, they cannot be criminalized,” he concluded.
