KOMPAS.com – After a long delay, Indonesia finally has a plane that completes the certification process from the aviation authority.
This was after the N-219 aircraft completed a series of certification tests from the Civil Airworthiness Authority of the Directorate of Airworthiness and Aircraft Operations (DKPPU) of the Indonesian Ministry of Transport.
“The DKPPU test results show that the N219 aircraft complies with Part 23 of CASR (Airworthiness Standards for Aircraft in the Normal, Utility, Aerobatic or Commuter category)”, said Director of Technology and Development of PT Dirgantara Indonesia ( DI), Gita Amperiawan in a statement received by Kompas. com, Monday (12/28/2020).

N-219 aircraft specifications
Launch of the official website Indonesian Aerospace, N-219 was made with the aim of connecting remote areas in Indonesia.
This aircraft can carry 17 to 19 passengers, with a payload capacity of 2,313 kilograms.
In terms of its capabilities, this aircraft has a maximum cruising speed of up to 210 knots or 388 kilometers per hour.
It is expected that the achievement of interregional connectivity can increase the economic growth of people and maintain defense and security in remote areas.
Therefore, the fuselage capabilities are designed in such a way that they are a reliable mode of transportation to reach remote areas.
For example, having the ability to fly in mountainous areas with a height of more than 1,800 meters, flying in the midst of a changing climate, also being prepared in amphibian form to land in water.
An amphibian version is also prepared, considering that many Indonesian territories are around or in the middle of the waters.
With a large coefficient of maximum lift of the main wing, the N-219 can remain stable while flying at low speeds between mountains.

Supports remote areas
Not only that, quoted from Daily kompas, Monday (12/28/2020), on the ground this aircraft only needs a runway of less than 600 meters to land perfectly.
In fact, the N-219 is said to be able to land even though it is only on the runway.
To support it as a connecting aircraft for remote areas, this aircraft is equipped with various mission needs, ranging from Troop transport, konfigurasi medical evacuation, cargo transport, surveillance, search and rescue (HE).
The N-219 is the aircraft with the largest cabin section in its class, which is equipped with a wide cargo door.
The systems used in this aircraft are also more sophisticated than previously developed aircraft. That is, using electronic technology and avionics.

Quoted from Daily kompas (5/17/2020) stated that Nurtario aircraft is equipped with terrain alert and alert system technology to provide a three-dimensional view for pilots.
The Indonesian pride aircraft designed and engineered by engineers from the Aeronautical and Space Agency (Lapan) has a twin-engine propeller-type engine and is equipped with a mechanical propulsion and rudder system.
To reduce high production costs, this aircraft is manufactured with local components. The percentage can reach 44 percent of the total components used are components originating from the interior of the country.
This percentage will continue to increase until it reaches 55-60 percent of local component use.
