The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur (KL) is coordinating with the Malaysian Police (PDRM) the viral parody of the song ‘Indonesia Raya’ circulating on social networks. This coordination is done to track and hunt down content creators.
“Coordinate with PDRM to trace and find the perpetrators because this is something that concerns our society, in Indonesia,” said the Coordinator of the Education and Culture Function of the Indonesian Embassy in KL, Yoshi Iskandar, when contacted, on Sunday (12/27/2020).
Yoshi explained that his party had conducted an investigation after receiving a report about the parody of the Indonesian national anthem. The team too, Yoshi said, immediately searched the YouTube channel.
“So first of all, the Indonesian Embassy has taken action and followed up. Therefore, based on the information we have received, from the moment we get the information, we act immediately as quickly as possible, as soon as possible to search, whose team is this, whose channel is Macem yes, “he said.
Furthermore, Yoshi said that it was the Malaysian police that had the authority to investigate this case. This is because from the beginning the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur had presented this case to the police for investigation into the perpetrators.
“Of course, if it is deeper like that, of course there will be an authorized party, yes, in this case of course what I transmit is again, PDRM. So as soon as we have a report like this we have coordinated,” he said.
