Charming Xhaka granite

Granit Xhaka became one of the protagonists of Arsenal’s victory over Chelsea with a score of 3-1. Aside from scoring goals, Xhaka is very tough in midfield.

Arsenal face Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Sunday (12/27/2020) in the morning WIB of week 15 Premier League. The surprise occurred, Arsenal managed to beat Chelsea, which was more favored by a score of 3-1.

Arsenal won 2-0 in the first half, through a goal from Alexandre Lacazette on the point and Granit Xhaka with a good free kick.

Arsenal increased the lead to 3-0 in the second half through Bukayo Saka. Chelsea were only able to reduce the loss to 1-3 before the match was completed through Tammy Abraham.

The result saw Arsenal move up one slot to 14th. Premier League standings while with 17 points. Meanwhile, Chelsea is in seventh place with 25 points.

Granit Xhaka looked so charming in that match. He played the full 90 minutes, accompanying Mohamed Elneny in front of four defenders in a 4-2-3-1 scheme.

Xhaka was able to keep the balance of the team. The Swiss player became the first axis to build attacks, as well as the first fortress to block attacks.

Who scored noted, Granit Xhaka was able to open two shots with one that resulted in a free throw. The last time an Arsenal player scored a direct goal from a free kick was in September 2019.

Xhaka made 77 percent successful passes, won three games and made two successful tackles.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised Xhaka. Although indeed several times, the 28-year-old made mistakes.

“He has the passion for playing and leadership on the field, I don’t doubt it,” Arteta said as reported BBC.

“He made a mistake, but then he fixed it and played well today,” he continued.

Granit Xhaka is indeed a mainstay in Arsenal’s midfield. So far, he has made 11 appearances.
