Mapuah admitted that she and her two children had just arrived in Lampung from Jambi after being invited by her husband.

“This mother’s husband is a truck driver, he went to Jambi with his family, then he wanted to go back to Jakarta,” Dirlantas Polda Lampung, Kombes Donny Damanik, said when contacted on Sunday (12/27/2020).

However, when they reached Lampung, the husband and wife were involved in an argument.

“For the officers, the mother admitted that she had fought with her husband and they left her in the middle of the road,” she said.

At the time, members of Blue Light PJR Polda Lampung were patrolling the toll road due to heavy rains that caused limited visibility.

At KM 114, officers saw a woman and two children walking along the shoulder of the toll road.

“Because it could be dangerous to both pedestrians and motorists, members stopped to ask the pedestrian to leave the toll road,” Donny said.

The woman named Marpuah was evacuated drenched and crying.

They were then taken to the Tegineneng police.
