JAKARTA, KOMPAS TV – The National Police Densus 88 Antiterrorist Team dismantled the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist network training center in various locations in Central Java. One of them is in Gintungan Village, Bandungan, Semarang.

According to information obtained by the police, members of Jamaah Islamiyah rented a two-story villa for military training.

The location around the villa they rented looks beautiful with pine trees around the area. In addition, the area is quite quiet due to the bustle of the neighbors.

“This place is a training ground for the young generation of Jamaah Islamiyah,” said the Chief of Public Relations of the Police Headquarters, Inspector General Argo Yuwono through his official statement on Sunday (12/27/2020).

Apart from the training place, the building was supposedly used as a resting place for the members of Jamaah Islamiyah.

Argo said that it was in this house where the young members of Jamaah Islamiyah were trained in self-defense, weapons with swords or samurai, simulating attacks by VVIP troops, even armed with bombs.
