During the time of the Covid-19 pandemic and the high level of poverty in Ghana, adolescent girls were often promised Indomie as a means of exchange for sex.

In addition to Indomie, online credit and online currency can also be a medium of exchange.

“In some cases, there are problems related to the means of sexual transactions, where parents also value their children to do so, so they can support themselves,” Bashiratu said.
