jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Politician Gerindra Fadli Zon assessed the death of six soldiers from the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) who were shot by police on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 Karawang toll road, West Java, as a violation of Human Rights (HAM).
Fadli admitted that he had strong reasons to convey this assessment.
The man who was born in Jakarta on June 1, 1971, claimed to have seen evidence in the case of the deaths of six FPI soldiers.
“I am one of those who think that the incident was a violation of human rights, because it took the lives of six young Indonesians, looking at the available evidence, an act has killed six people. God willing, six of these members of the FPI were martyrs, “said Fadli in the official statement posted on Fadli Zon’s official YouTube account, Saturday (12/26).
Fadli Zon said he was not the only one who declared the deaths of six FPI soldiers a human rights violation.
A similar statement, continued Fadli Zon, was also expressed by institutions such as the Coordinator of the Commission on Missing Persons and Violence or KontraS.
“I read that KontraS stated that this was a human rights violation. I think there were several figures and experts who made the same claim,” he said.
The Senate legislator went on to say that the case of the deaths of six FPI soldiers also insulted Indonesian law.
