KOMPAS.com – The Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, said that social assistance (bansos) in 2021 will be different from the previous year or in 2020.
According to Risma, social assistance in the future will be sent directly to the recipient’s address, so residents will no longer have to take it to the post office.
“Since I need it fast, maybe we will contact the post office. From the post office it will be delivered directly,” Risma said, quoted by Compass TV, Friday (12/25/2020).

Transferred
In addition, the former mayor of Surabaya, East Java also said that next year’s social assistance will not be in the form of cash or in the form of basic food assistance.
This was done to minimize the risk of abuse and avoid crowds that increase the risk of transmission of the corona virus.
This means that assistance will either be transferred directly to the recipient’s account or delivered directly through the post office.
Risma will also ensure the security of the aid distribution process through the post office.
“As for safety, there will be a contract later. If there is something, it must be replaced. I will think about that next week,” he said.
Data on social assistance recipients
Regarding the data on the beneficiaries of social assistance, Risma also admitted that he would immediately consult with the local government.
However, he said the data comparison was done temporarily through software due to time constraints.

However, in the future, he promised that the data entry process for welfare recipients will be carried out in a transparent manner.
“The data is not there yet. For January, maybe we only saw the cuts before. Because we only did it through the software for January, because there was no time. So on Monday (12/28) I collected it, on Tuesday (29 / 12) in the morning it could be shipped to the regions, “he explained.
“For February, it is even more lenient for data correction. So maybe we can do it more transparently. Three days we will return it to the regions and then update it, all residents can see, so that there is input for each “he continued.
As is known, the Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed three types of aid throughout 2020.
In addition to routine assistance, the Ministry of Social Affairs also provides assistance to people affected by the corona virus pandemic.
The three social aids distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs in 2020 are the Family Hope Program (PKH), the Cash Social Assistance Program for BPNT / Non-PKH Grocery Program Participants, and Rice Bansos (BSB).

However, the distribution of this aid was the center of attention after the name of the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P Batubara, was caught in a case of corruption in the welfare funds.
Juliari is suspected of receiving disposable money of 17 billion rupees from the acquisition and distribution of Covid-19 welfare.
