Human remains found in the vicinity of the explosion site, the American city of Nashville

The explosion that injured 3 people occurred in the city of Nashville, United States, on the morning of the Christmas Celebration yesterday. Local police are still investigating this case.

In addition to 3 people injured in the blast, officers also found human remains in the vicinity of the blast, two law enforcement officers told The Associated Press.

However, it is not clear that the remains of the explosion belonged to the alleged perpetrator or the deceased victim. Officials were unable to discuss the investigation publicly.

As a result of the explosion, there was a widespread blackout in communications in the city of Nashville, disrupting the police emergency system and halting vacation travel at the city airport. Authorities said they believed the explosion was intentional.

Previously, the explosion was thought to have originated in a motor home or car used as a residence. AFP report on Saturday (12/26/2020). The explosion occurred at 6:30 a.m. (1130 GMT) in a largely deserted part of the southern US city due to the early hours of the morning and on Christmas Day.

An eyewitness heard the sound of the explosion which occurred quite loudly.

“It was a very loud explosion,” said Joseph Fafara, a Philadelphia man, who heard the explosion, as reported by AP, on Saturday (12/26/2020).

“We tried to rationalize that it was an earthquake or something like that. But obviously it was not an earthquake,” he continued.
