jpnn.com, BANDUNG BARAT – A landslide victim in Lebak Cihideung Village, Jayagiri Village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency was found dead on Friday (12/25) afternoon.

After the landslide that affected the town on Thursday night (12/24), the last victim was found after agents searched him for 20 hours.

The victim, Dedi Rohendi (43) was found on Friday afternoon around 4.30pm WIB, in the living room of his house that was buried by landslides in a prone position.

Previously, three other victims who were also in the same family were found safe.

West Bandung BPBD director Duddy Prabowo said the victim was found after officers tracked down the spots where the victim was buried by landslides.

He said the victim was found under the mattress. The victim is suspected of trying to protect himself from the landslide that struck his home.

“The victim was found in his living room, dead,” he was quoted as saying by Radar Bandung on Friday.

Duddy explained that the search for victims took a long time, because the heavy equipment was unable to reach the scene of the incident.
