Former Minister of Social Affairs Juliari Peter Batubara denied the participation of President Joko Widodo’s eldest son (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka, in the alleged corruption case of the Corona welfare fund (bansos). The information about Gibran’s involvement in the case is not true.
“No, the news is not true. That is not true (Gibran was involved in the alleged corruption of Corona welfare)”, briefly Juliari, in the Red and White House of KPK, Jalan Kuningan Persada, Jakarta, Wednesday (23 / 12/2020).
Juliari did not provide further information on the denial of Gibran’s involvement. After undergoing the initial examination at the KPK, it was still inexpensive.
Juliari left the KPK building around 9:55 p.m. WIB. He immediately got into the KPK detention car to return to the Pomdam Jaya Guntur Detention Center.
Previously reported, Gibran admitted that he had never recommended PT Sritex as a manufacturer of welfare bags. Gibran said that if you want corruption, there are projects that go beyond the social assistance bag.

Gibran also emphasized that his campaign funds on Solo Pilkada could be verified in the report he had submitted to the KPU.
“You can verify it yourself, you can verify everything. LHKPN, campaign funds, can be verified online. Verify with the team. We have never covered up names,” Gibran said.
Cawalkot Solo also stated that he was ready to be arrested if there was evidence that he was involved in the welfare corruption case. “Yeah, just see if it’s wrong. Only arrest if there is evidence. Never participate. No one has ever recommended, ordered or anything,” Gibran said.
Separately, PT Sritex also denied this problem. “Our marketing is approached by the Ministry of Social Affairs”, explained the Head of Corporate Communication Sritex Joy Citradewi to detikcom through a short message, on Monday (12/21).
