The new Minister of Religion, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas or Gus Yaqut, has been attacked for deception, although President Jokowi has not officially appointed him.
The CEO of Gerakan Pemuda Ansur went viral because a photo of a man with a similar face was circulating on Facebook hugging a woman.
In addition to the photo, the person who uploaded it also showed a news story that showed Gus Yaqut in a green T-shirt and cap.

Citing a page KominfoUN cadres claimed that Duta Syahwat’s photo was a hoax or fake news.

The reason is that the photo has been shown to be the result of blog edits that were uploaded in 2011.
In the original photo, the man is wearing a white shirt but no glasses. The man also has a different hairstyle.
