KOMPAS.com – With the emergence of a new variant of the coronavirus in Britain that is considered more contagious, the government says that the conditions of the pandemic in the country are out of control.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the new strain of coronavirus was 70 percent more contagious than the original virus.
So far, more than 1,000 cases caused by the new variant of Covid-19 have been identified.

As a result, many countries closed their flights to and from England. The following is the list, quoted from AFP, Monday (12/21/2020):
India
The Indian government will suspend all flights from Tuesday (12/22/2020) at 11:59 pm and is valid until December 31, 2020.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong has banned all flights arriving from the UK from Monday (12/21/2020) at midnight and quarantined passengers arriving from the UK in the past two weeks.
France
On Sunday (12/20/2020), France said it would suspend travel from the UK for 48 hours starting at midnight on Sunday, including the transport of cargo by land, air, sea and rail.
German
Germany will suspend all air relations with the United Kingdom from midnight Sunday until December 31, 2020. This policy does not apply to cargo flights.

Italy
Italian Health Minister Roberto Speranza signed a decree blocking flights from Great Britain and preventing entry to Italy for people who have lived in the country for the last 14 days.
Also, everyone who has recently traveled from the UK should get tested for Covid-19 immediately.
Ireland
In a statement, the government said that all flights arriving from Britain after midnight on Sunday will be banned for at least 48 hours.
Netherlands
All passenger flights from the UK to the Netherlands have been banned until January 1, 2021.
Other European countries
Belgium banned flights from Britain for 24 hours, while Finland imposed a similar ban for two weeks.
Switzerland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania also suspended flights until further notice.

Bulgaria said flights to and from the United Kingdom would be suspended from midnight Sunday until January 31, 2021.
Romania has banned all flights to and from Great Britain for two weeks, starting Monday afternoon.
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said the country would suspend air traffic for 48 hours.
Canada
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Canada would ban all British flights for 72 hours.
Turkey
On his Twitter account, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said flights from Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands and South Africa would be suspended.
Iran
Iran’s Health Ministry ordered the suspension of flights from Britain for two weeks.

Israel
Israel says it is banning entry to foreigners traveling from Britain, Denmark and South Africa.
Saudi Arabia
On Sunday, Saudi Arabia said it would suspend all flights for at least two weeks.
Passengers arriving in Saudi Arabia from Europe or any country where the new strain is detected will be asked to self-isolate for two weeks and undergo tests.
Kuwait
Kuwait added Britain to its list of “high risk” countries and banned flights.
The Savior
El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele said that no one who has been to Britain or South Africa in the past 30 days will be allowed into the country.

Argentina
Argentina has banned flights from Britain, the government said in a statement Sunday. He also said the last flights from Britain would arrive in the country on Monday.
Chile
Chile announced that it would suspend flights from Great Britain as of Tuesday (12/22/2020).
Morocco
Morocco banned all flights to Britain from Sunday.
