There is an annoyance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer behind Manchester United’s landslide victory over Leeds United. It was related to Daniel James’ yellow card.

MU entertains his nemesis at Old Trafford on Sunday (12/20/2020) WIB night. With just three minutes left, Scott McTominay led the host to a 2-0 lead.

At the end of the first half, United took a 4-1 lead on goals from Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof, after Leeds responded through Liam Cooper.

Going into the second half, MU scored two more goals thanks to penalties from Fernandes and James. Stuart Dallas’ consolation goal for Leeds came in the 73rd minute.

For James, this goal is very important because it shows that he is still useful for the Red Devils squad. It is understandable that Daniel James this season will be difficult to get a place in the first team because the competition is very close in attack.

James was able to get MU to get a faster penalty in this match when he pushed into the penalty area in the 52nd minute and Cooper dropped it.

However, referee Anthony Taylor even considered James to dive in and received a yellow card. For Solskjaer, this decision hurt James because the public would consider him a diver.

“He has shown many times that he can improve the team, with incredible speed,” Ole Gunnar Solksjaer was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

“But, I’m not that worried about it. What worries me is when he should get a penalty, instead he gets a yellow card. That is clearly a violation and then they label him a diver like before,” he continued on Daniel James.
