The KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) imposed severe sanctions, namely dismissal, against one of KPK’s non-permanent employees who was in the General Office Security Sector. The employee was found guilty of receiving money from the former Menpora Imam Nahrawi.
“Today, the KPK Oversight Board has issued a verdict on TK (Non-permanent Security Employees in the General Office) with heavy penalties in the form of disrespectful dismissal as employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission,” said the acting spokesman. from KPK Ali Fikri to reporters on Monday (12/21/2020).
Dewas KPK indicated that it was found that the employee who was the guardian of this prisoner had violated the code of ethics stipulated in article 4 paragraph 1 letters g and h and article 4 paragraph 2 letter a Regulation of the Supervisory Board Number 02 of 2020 regarding the application of the Code of Ethics and the code of conduct of the Commission for the Eradication of Corruption.
Ali said Dewas’s consideration for imposing harsh penalties was to try the employee for taking bribes. The bribe was in the form of money and gifts.
“The violations committed were to ignore the obligation to reject and report any gratuity that is considered bribery and to establish direct contact with the parties that the case is known to be being handled by the KPK, which includes giving a contact telephone number to one of the detainees and receive 3 boxes of pempek food, “explained Ali. .
Ali explained that the money received was 300 lakhs. Furthermore, this employee once borrowed Rp. 800 thousand from Imam Nahrawi.
“Third, borrow Rp. 800 thousand. Fourth, receive Rp. 300 thousand from one of the KPK detainees,” he said.
This decision was also shared by KPK member Syamsuddin Haris in regards to Imam Nahrawi. However, according to Syamsuddin, another KPK member, Harjono, is the chairman of its ethics board.
