Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
About 50 thousand packages social care (social care) contains basic material sitting in one of the warehouses of the Polígono Industrial Pulogadung, East Jakarta.
Members of the Cakung Sector Police Criminal Investigation Unit in East Jakarta requested statements from several witnesses at the warehouse owned by PT Penco Pangan Utama. The head of the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Iptu, Stevanus Leonard Johannes, said that several witnesses, including employees, were questioned about the reports of alleged social assistance abandoned in the building.
“Later we will summon a few more people. Today only a few employees, three to four employees have requested information,” Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief Iptu Stevanus Leonard Johannes in Jakarta was quoted as saying. . Between, Monday (12/21).
Stevanus and several plainclothes police officers arrived at the warehouse around 1:00 p.m. WIB.
The process of inspecting the warehouse and unearthing the testimonies of various witnesses took about an hour. According to Stevanus, there have been more than 50,000 welfare packages assigned by warehouse managers in the past three months.
A welfare package contains 10 kilograms of rice, 10 packages of instant noodles, nine small cans of sardines, two liters of cooking oil, and a bottle of hot sauce.
The welfare in red and white patterned sack packages was prepared by warehouse managers to be presented as part of President Joko Widodo’s assistance program to affected communities amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
But according to Stevanus, according to witness testimony, social assistance has not yet been distributed because PT Penco Pangan Utama has failed to cooperate with the Ministry of Social Affairs.
“Cooperation has not been established [dengan Kemensos]. They were ready but excess stock [Kemensos], in the end he sold it to a wholesaler, not to lose, ”Stevanus said again.
Three months stacked
Stevanus said that tens of thousands of welfare packages had been in storage for three months. “Saw that Timed out2023, 2022. Not yet Timed out,” he said.
The inspection at the warehouse in the Pulogadung area began with reports from residents complaining that the welfare claims had expired.
The initial information came from an unknown person who streamed a 12-second video and then circulated it on social media.
“The person who neutralized the video was actually a potential buyer who came to the warehouse. The video was produced three months ago,” explained Stevanus.

However, so far the police have not obtained the facts that point to the act of hoarding state-owned welfare by PT Penco Pangan Utama as manager of the warehouse.
Based on the results of employee statements, he said, the package was neglected for months because there was no clarity on the cooperation between the company and the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding the president’s assistance program for communities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“So they are [perusahaan] that they buy themselves, they want to offer but [Kemensos] completely full [bantuannya], in the end they sold it themselves not to lose, “said Stevanus.
Despite the fact that the welfare package has been neglected for three months, according to Stevanus, the warehouse manager is still monitoring the process of monitoring the product’s viability.
“They are looking for and selling inputs and outputs of goods, all of which are selected three times, from storage, travel documents, arrangement to their return to the warehouse. So even if it expires, the wholesaler must have complained, but not I’ve asked no one to complain “he shines again.
Stevanus confirmed that there was no flow of government funds for the provision of social assistance in the company dedicated to the food and storage sector.
“So far no state money has come in here. Not yet,” he said.
Police investigations have yet to reach a conclusion on the suspicion of welfare hoarding.
“So far we are still in the investigative process, we will tell you more,” Stevanus said.
Reports related to the alleged abandonment of social assistance at the warehouse in the Pulogadung Industrial Zone circulated through social media for 12 seconds.
The images show a series of red and white patterned sacks stacked to fill every corner of the warehouse building with an area of approximately 400 square meters.
The police undoubtedly went to check the warehouse. One of the warehouse security officers said the stored welfare packages were private property.
“Initially there was a plan to cooperate with the Ministry of Social Affairs for the distribution of social assistance, but it was canceled. So the status is private property for retail sale, ”said the security officer when approached by the police.
