Joy also emphasized that the company’s contribution to the commodity welfare program did not come from the recommendation of President Joko Widodo’s son, Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming.

One of the national media said, Sritex allegedly received a special recommendation from President Joko Widodo’s son. However, the company stated that participation in the program began with a meeting between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the company.

“Sritex received an order for welfare gift bags after being approached by the Ministry of Social Affairs. At that time we were told the need was urgent,” Joy Citradewi told Bisnis on Sunday (12/20/2020) .

Meanwhile, Solopos proclaimed, the order for bags by the Ministry of Social Affairs involved 30,000 workers. Meanwhile, the total number of simple bags in the contract between the Ministry of Social Affairs and Sritex is 1.9 million units.

To complete this order, Sritex involved 30 partners spread across the Solo Raya area to complete the order.

The social assistance project came into the spotlight after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appointed Minister of Social Affairs Juliari Peter Batubara and four other suspects as recipients and donors of bribes related to the program. of social assistance for the management of Covid-19.

The other four suspects in this case are Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) officials Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi Wahyono, in addition to Ardian IM and Harry Sidabuke as private parties.

As recipients, Juliari, Adi and Matheus were accused of Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 modified by Law Number 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1) 1st KUHP.

Meanwhile, as the giver, Ardian and Harry are suspected of violating article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or article 13 of Law No. 31 of 1999, as amended by Law No. 20 of 2001 relative to Eradication of corruption.
