The conversation between the two figures in front of a screen uploaded by a YouTube channel led to a legal process. One of them is already a suspect, now another is denounced for allegedly insulting Nahdlatul Ulama.
The two figures are Sugi Nur Rahardja aka Gus Nur and Refly Harun. Gus Nur first had the status of a suspect, while Refly Harun was later reported to Bareskrim Polri.
Gus Nur and Refly Harun’s chat was broadcast on the MUNJIAT Channel YouTube channel which was uploaded on October 16, 2020. At 3.45 minutes, Gus Nur then voiced his opinion on the current condition of NU. According to Gus Nur, NU today is not like the old NU.
“Before this regime, where the road was escorted by Banser. I was calm with NU. There was never a problem. Well, after this regime was born it suddenly changed 180 degrees,” he said in the video.
“I think NU is now like a public bus. The driver is drunk, the driver is drunk, the caress is reckless. And all the passengers are insolent. They smoke, they sing too, they open their genitals too, ”he continued.

Later, Gus Nur was named a suspect in an alleged hate speech involving words that were suspected of insulting the UN. Gus Nur has now been detained by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
October 28 detikcom I had the opportunity to interview Gus Nur exclusively on Bareskrim. Regarding the case, Gus Nur admitted that it was provoked by Refly Harun’s question when speaking about the current condition of the UN and the government. Gus Nur said that he did not speak of hatred against the UN, but criticized him for his affection for the UN.
“Yeah that’s me, if I hadn’t had an interview with Refly, I wouldn’t have said that,” Gus said, opening the conversation. He was wearing an orange Bareskrim prisoner’s vest paired with a white cap.
Gus Nur said that the criticism against the UN was not planned by him in the video interview with Refly Harun. However, Gus Nur admitted that he would in fact convey the same thing if asked about the current condition of NU.
“Yes, that’s me, because Mr. Refly asked about that (about NU’s current condition). So it doesn’t mean I’m on a schedule, I’m just the one who got away. Try now to ask me (about) NU, I’ll answer like this again. So that’s it. instinct, “said Gus Nur.
On their way, the police also examined Refly Harun. He served the Criminal Investigators summons on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
