During the meeting, the German government through its ambassador confirmed the support and commitment of the German government to continue bilateral cooperation with Indonesia against intolerance, radicalism and hate speech.

The Head of the Representative of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany confirmed that it was his embassy staff who came to the FPI headquarters but that it was a personal initiative to come to Petamburan. The German embassy has called on staff to take responsibility for their actions and provided clarification to the government.
