LAMPUNG, KOMPAS.com – The fugitive in the Jamaah Islamiyah terrorism case, Taufik Bulaga aka Upik Lawanga, has been spotted on a wanted list (DPO) poster by local residents.

The head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Headquarters, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, said residents did not report because the names on the posters were different from the names they knew.

“So it is believed that it only looks like a face,” Ahmad said at the suspect’s home, Sri Bawono Village, Way Seputih District, Central Lampung, on Saturday (12/19/2020).

Ahmad added that the name Taufik Bulaga aka Upik Lawanga was written on the DPO poster.

Meanwhile, the suspect who lives in Sri Bawono Village is known as Safrudin.

“His nickname is Udin Bebek, because he raises ducks and sells sliced ducks,” Ahmad said.

Meanwhile, Sri Bawono Village chief Eko Widodo said there were no suspicions that its residents were fugitives in terrorism cases.

“The neighbors are not suspicious, because they are only known as sliced duck sellers,” Eko said.

According to Eko, Upik Lawanga has lived in that place since 2013. However, only last year did he do a KTP with Safrudin’s identity.

Regarding the bunker at Upik Lawanga’s residence, one of the residents, Iin, admitted that he never knew when the suspect arrived at the bunker.

Apparently the suspect built the bunker alone.

“I’ve never seen him (the suspect) build the bunker, or have a handyman build it. The person isn’t very sociable. At best, he just berated me when I passed by,” Iin said.
