JAKARTA, iNews.id – The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) continues to act to collect data on the shooting of six members of the Laskar Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). The investigation also led to the malfunction of hidden cameras or CCTV on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Karawang, West Java.

Komnas HAM Commissioner Choirul Anam said that the Komnas HAM investigation team had asked PT Jasa Marga (Persero) for information about the dead CCTV. To complete the investigation, the investigation team also went directly to the scene of the police shooting with FPI Laskar.

“The Komnas HAM investigation team directly examined and requested information on the location of the object that was an obstacle to the full operation of CCTV,” Anam said on Friday (12/18/2020).

This former student from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya, explained that the Komnas HAM research team received information from representatives of Jasa Marga and the technical team when they visited the CCTV location. The information included, among others, how the cameras worked.

Anam thanked Jasa Marga and the technical team for their transparency. Komnas HAM hopes there will be more pieces (puzzles) to the mystery to be revealed in this incident.

“The more puzzles that are revealed, the faster events will clear up,” he said.
