General Electoral Commissions (KPU) South Kalimantan (Kalsel) determines the candidate for Governor and Lieutenant Governor number 1, Sahbirin Noor-Muhidin as the winner Pilkada 2020.
This was decided in an open plenary session of the recapitulation of the results of the vote counting at the Pilkada South Kalimantan 2020, at the Golden Tulip Hotel, on Friday (12/18).
The South Kalimantan KPU determined that the total vote acquisition for the Sahbirin-Muhidin pair was 851,822 votes or 50.24 percent. Meanwhile, couple number 2, Denny Indrayana-Difriadi Derajat, got 843,695 votes, or 49.76 percent.
The votes obtained by the two pairs of candidates were only 8,127 different votes. This means that the difference between the two pairs of candidates is less than 1 percent. The total number of valid ballots was 1,695,517 votes.
The head of the South Kalimantan KPU, Sarmuji, stated that the calculation of the results had gone through a long process, from the recapitulation of the TPS, sub-district, district / city levels to the open plenary meeting in the province.
According to him, if there is a dispute with the Constitutional Court regarding the results that have been determined, the determination of the winner of the South Kalimantan regional main election will be postponed until there is a decision from the Constitutional Court.
“How is the decision of the Constitutional Court, if it is rejected or what will we do, we will comply with it, no later than 5 days after the decision of the Constitutional Court,” Sarmuji was quoted as saying by Antara.
Sarmuji said that if there is no demand, within three days after the conclusion of the plenary meeting, the pairs of candidates who obtain the highest votes will be appointed governor and lieutenant governor-elect.
Previously, Denny Indrayana suspected that there were a number of frauds in the 2020 South Kalimantan Pilkada vote count. He suspected that various KPPS members had done something that was inappropriate.
Denny admitted that witnesses had difficulty obtaining a copy of the results of the vote count at the polling station level. I even have to debate with the TPS officers.
The 2020 South Kalimantan regional elections were attended by two pairs of candidates. The Sahbirin-Muhidin pair is compatible with Golkar, PAN, PDIP, Nasdem, PKS, PKB and compatible with PSI, PKPI and Perindo.
Meanwhile, the Denny-Difri pair was only promoted by the Gerindra, Democratic and PPP parties.
