Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho guilt Jurgen Klopp after his team lost 1-2 to Liverpool in Premier League week 13 at Anfield Stadium on Thursday morning (12/17) WIB.
Mourinho blamed Klopp and Liverpool’s coaching staff for his decision to withdraw Giovani Lo Celso. The Argentine midfielder was retired and replaced by Lucas Moura in the 58th minute.
Mourinho argued that the substitution had to be made so that Lo Celso would not get a red card. The Special considered that the referee could expel his adopted children because Klopp and his staff often protested vigorously, which he considered excessive.
“We made a tactical change to give Gio Lo Celso more space from the right to control the ball and find a counterattack situation. Where we did it quickly in the first 10 minutes,” Mourinho said as reported by the Daily Mail.
“With his yellow card and his behavior on the sidelines, exerting tremendous pressure, I am concerned about the possibility of a second yellow card. Gio is on the bench, a very dangerous area. I am afraid and I have to take him out,” he continued.
The departure of Lo Celso affected Tottenham’s game, which relied on counterattacks. The Lilywhites lost creative players who could provide surprise passes in the opponent’s defense.

Lo Celso was the creator of Tottenham’s draw scored by Son Heung Min. Before that goal, the Reds were able to take the lead thanks to a goal from Mohamed Salah.
The 1-1 draw between the two teams lasted until the end of the second half. When the Liverpool vs Tottenham duel was expected to be a draw, Roberto Firmino scored the goal that decided the hosts’ victory in the 90th minute.
The result saw Liverpool rise to the top of the standings by accumulating 28 points. The port city team is three points ahead of Tottenham, who have to drop to second place after accumulating 25 points in 13 games.
