Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Notary Komnas HAM Choirul Anam revealed differences in the information of the relatives and the doctor who performed the autopsy of the six bodies of members of the Islamic Defenders Front (Front)REIT) who died in the confrontation at KM 50 Tol Jakarta Cikampek, on Monday (12/7) morning.
“There is certainly nothing in common,” Anam said at the Komnas HAM building in central Jakarta on Thursday (12/17).
Anam said the difference was related to the condition of the body the family received and the condition when the doctor’s autopsy was performed.
According to him, this cannot be separated from the moment of death that influences the state of the body.
“So for example if a corpse has an hour and a day, the bodies must be different, their position is different, whether the corpse has been bruised or not, it must be different,” Anam said.
Not only that, the condition of the corpse’s body is also highly influenced by the food or nutritional intake it received during its lifetime. All of this will affect the appearance and condition of the moment the bodies were found.
Therefore, Anam said, the statement from the victim’s family and the doctor who performed the autopsy could not be the same. He said there would be differences that both parties would find.
“In fact, if you ask them if there is a difference between them, it should be different. If it is not different, it will be strange,” he said.
On that occasion, Anam also explained the difference between the bullet holes found by the victim’s family and the doctor who performed the autopsy. This difference, Anam said, could occur due to understanding of incoming and outgoing bullets.
“In many incidents, including this incident, there is a difference between incoming and outgoing bullets,” he said.
During the doctors’ examination, his group had asked to show the original photo of the body before the autopsy was performed for the purpose of a full examination.
“They showed us photos for the first time before the action and that’s the most important position, so yeah, it shows originality,” he said.
“If you asked how many holes there were, that’s where we found out how many holes there were, how the body was, etc.” Anam continued.
Even so, Anam declined to provide more information on the position of the bullet holes and the number of details of the holes found in each body of the FPI member.
“We cannot mention it at this time, because we have to consolidate the data that we have again. The data is not from one piece,” Anam said.
Komnas HAM aims to investigate the shooting of six FPI soldiers to be completed in a month. During the investigative process, his group examined various parties including Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General Fadil Imran and Jasamarga regarding CCTV at the time of the incident.
The investigation report will then be sent directly to President Joko Widodo and the Chief of the National Police, General Idham Azis.
