“The issue of the accusations that we are equipped with sharp weapons is not with us, the FPI does not exist and we have never had it,” said the undercover witness on the Mata Najwa program that aired on Trans7, Wednesday night (16 / 12).
The general secretary of FPI Munarman also confirmed the witness’s testimony. He claimed that the FPI had prohibited all members from possessing sharp objects or firearms.
Munarman also described the conditions at the time of the confrontation. According to him, there were five cars that departed for the sunrise recitation site specifically for Rizieq Shihab’s main family.

Seeing these findings, Munarman urged the government to form an independent team to investigate this case. This is because there is a difference in information between the FPI and the police.
“We do not know where the police evidence came from. We checked with the laskar, he did not say. It was an expensive weapon, 20 million rupees, that our laskar could not afford to buy. It would later be discovered if Komnas HAM conducted an investigation,” he concluded Munarman.
Previously, the police said that the FPI laskar who was involved in the confrontation had been shot and killed for attacking the officers with pistols and sharp weapons.
Meanwhile, the head of the Public Information Office of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that his party is investigating the origin of the possession of firearms belonging to this group of people suspected of being Rizieq sympathizers.
