The Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) and various groups will hold the Action of 1812 in front of the Merdeka Palace in central Jakarta to demand the release of Habib Rizieq. The Ulema Council of Indonesia (MUI) ordered action in 1812 to continue observing health protocols.

“I urge that expressing an opinion is a right, by law it is allowed. If they are to express their opinion, that is fine. We ask for it, because in the COVID environment, we expect them to respect existing health protocols, ”MUI Deputy Chief Anwar Abbas told reporters. Wednesday (12/16/2020).

For Anwar, it would be better if Habib Rizieq was not stopped by the Jakarta metro police. According to him, the Habib Rizieq case was more a case of dissent than a criminal case.

“This is not a thief, a corruptor, a corrupt. If Habib Rizieq is corrupt, arrest, prosecute, finish. This is a difference of opinion, there are differences in opinions about the management of the nation, the management of the country. ( President) Jokowi with a mental revolution and Rizieq with his moral revolution. ” Anwar said.

Meanwhile, is the Habib Rizieq case concerning the crowds a criminal matter? Anwar said the case is still being debated. There are those who think that Habib Rizieq cannot be arrested due to the crowd case in Petamburan.

“I do not deny that Habib Rizieq is guilty, he must be prosecuted. Many legal experts, I am not a legal expert, they say he is innocent, there is no law that can be used to catch him,” he said.
