AC Milan draws again. Traveling to the Genoa venue, Milan fell behind twice before finally forcing the match to end 2-2.

In the Italian League match at Luigi Ferarris on Thursday (12/17/2020), the two teams were even without goals during the first half. The tie was broken early in the second half after Mattia Destro scored the home team’s first goal, to which Davide Calabria responded immediately.

The course of the match

Genoa and AC Milan put each other’s defenses to the test in the opening minutes. Gianluigi Donnarumma is forced to stretch to hit a free-kick. Genoa threw a wild ball, but was yet to anticipate.

Milan began to pick up the rhythm of the game to make it more comfortable to attack Genoa. Milan created the first dangerous opportunity when the game has been going on for 23 minutes. From the set piece situation, Hakan Calhanoglu sent a low cross to the far post despite being caught by goalkeeper Mattia Perin.

Milan replied five minutes later. After receiving comments from Calhanoglu outside the penalty area, David Calabria fired a hard and measured horizontal shot to beat Perin as he tied the score 1-1.

Genoa is not over. Right in the 60th minute, Destro scored his second goal to put Genoa back in front. Paolo Ghiglione unleashed a cross that Destro headed in to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma’s guard. Genoa turned to lead 2-1 over Milan.

After falling behind, Milan tried to attack again after the game had elapsed 70 minutes. Milan’s attack finally paid off in the 83rd minute through Pierre Kalulu.

Kalulu scored Milan’s second from close range after Alessio Romagnoli headed the ball down from a corner. The ball rolls over the Kalulu line which is finished off with a shot from close range. The score changed to 2-2 in the 83rd minute.

The match gets four minutes of additional time. However, for the rest of the game no other goals were produced, so the score lasted 2-2 until the referee’s long whistle sounded.
