The number of invalid votes in Pilkada Solo 2020 has almost tripled compared to Pilkada in Solo 2015. The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) believes that something is wrong with this democratic party.
It can be seen from the recap of the 2020 Solo Pilkada vote count results at the city level, the number of invalid votes reached 35,476. While in Solo Pilkada of 2015, the number of invalid votes was 12,773.
The president of the winning body of the PKS Solo DPD election, Sugeng Riyanto, said that the increase in the number of invalid votes could be interpreted in several ways. However, he emphasized that the entire community did not appreciate the Solo Pilkada process.
“For me it is something that cannot be ignored. From the beginning to the end, not all people appreciate it, it manifests itself in an invalid voice. It means that something is wrong,” Sugeng said when contacted. detikcom, Wednesday (12/16/2020).
The votes that are called invalid are when the ballot papers are punched in two pairs of candidates, they are not punched in the ballot box or the voters do not puncture them. PKS previously invited residents not to attend TPS or attend but not vote.
“The results of the elections must be seen as a whole. How many are missing, how many are not valid. In my opinion, this figure is significant, so all parties must know it,” he said.
Regarding Gibran’s victory, PKS admitted that he had predicted it. He is also willing to work together in the next government.
“When it comes to predictable results, no problem. Our attitude at DPRD remains the same, we are ready to work together with anyone. While the program is helpful and does not violate regulations, we certainly support it.
Previously reported, the KPU Solo determined the final recap results for Solo Pilkada 2020.
