jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The General Secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman criticized President Jokowi’s statement about the incident of death of six members of the FPI army due to being shot by the police.
The reason is that President Jokowi is considered not to provide legal protection to citizens who are victims of serious human rights violations.
“We criticize the attitude and statements of the President of the Republic of Indonesia that justify acts of state violence against its own citizens,” Munarman said in a statement received by JPNN on Tuesday (12/15).
According to him, what Jokowi said was the most obvious evidence of structural violence.
“This is being done by the authorities and the wall of impunity will continue to continue against state officials who commit various human rights violations against their own people,” Munarman said.
He explained that the current phenomenon is increasingly ironic because in the commemoration of World Human Rights Day and Indonesia also commemorates it.
“Do not let the world know Indonesia as an uncivilized nation because it turns people’s lives into a dramatic comedy game that is not fun,” added Munarman, who is also the attorney for the six armies of the FPI.
Previously, President Jokowi responded strongly to the deaths of six members of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) some time ago.
