Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Electoral Supervision Agency (Bawaslu) recommended 102 district / city administrators Pilkada 2020 held a re-election (PSU) because several violations were found during the simultaneous voting process on December 9.

This was revealed by Bawaslu member Mochamad Afifudin when evaluating the Pilkada implementation in a virtual webinar on Monday (12/14).

“The PSU is about 100 today that we recommend. Those are all the data, the initial information from the Siwaslu (Electoral Supervision System) that we get,” Afif said in his presentation cited by AFP. CNNIndonesia.com, Tuesday (12/15).

However, Afif did not mention the detailed number of polling stations (TPS) recommended by Bawaslu for re-voting in each region.

In his presentation, Afif said there were several reasons why the number of regions had to vote again. However, for the most part, Bawaslu found that a voter exercised their right to vote more than once at the same or different polling stations, with a total of 30 cases.

“More than one voter exercises his right to vote more than once, in the same or in different polling stations”, was recorded in the material delivered by Afif.

So, 10 cases of violations in the form of opening the city of votes were not carried out according to the procedure established by law; 9 cases because Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) officials incorrectly delivered ballots to voters.

Then, there were seven cases of voters using the Noken system. Noken is a voting system represented by traditional leaders and is generally used in the mountainous areas of Papua.

Aside from the number of violations mentioned above, several other violations, namely the vote count was done earlier, the TPS closed before 13.00 WIB, so the number of KPPS did not match the provisions.

Furthermore, as Afif explained, Bawaslu noted that most of the rapes occurred in Papua with a total of 25 cases. Followed by Central Sulawesi with 19 cases and West Sumatra with 12 cases.

In addition to the recommendations to vote again, Bawaslu has also registered up to 48 districts / cities by counting votes. This number is found in the three provinces that have Pilkada, namely East Java, Bengkulu and Jambi.

The counting process occurred mainly in East Java, and the only one was in Malang Regency with 42 cases.

The vote count was carried out because the ballot boxes were not sealed by the KPPS by order of the District Election Committee (PPK) with 42 cases; the difference between the number of ballots and the ballots used is five cases; and the vote count is done at another time determined by a case.

“This may be a purely technical error received by the local organizers. This has been followed by everyone. Bengkulu has 5, Jambi 1, the data is constantly increasing,” he said.
