JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The spokesperson for the Covid-19 Task Force (Task Force) Wiku Adisasmito said that the government was finalizing regulations regarding intercity travel actors.
This rule was developed because there is always a growing trend of Covid-19 cases after every long vacation period.
Furthermore, this rule is also to map risks due to social mobility during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The government is finalizing policies related to travelers. Especially (travel) between cities,” Wiku said in a virtual press conference broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel on Tuesday (12/15/2020).
The regulations, among others, detail the travel requirements, the travel mechanisms and the steps that travelers must take after returning to their place of origin.
Despite detailed rules being prepared by the government, Wiku appealed to the entire community to consider carefully before traveling.

If it is not urgent, you should postpone the trip until the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic improve.
“If the trip to take is not so urgent, please do not travel,” said Wiku.
“Traveling is not always dangerous, but people who come from areas with high transmission risk have the potential to carry the virus to the areas they go to,” he added.
