LIVE – The investigation team of the General Directorate of Crimes of the Criminal and Criminal Investigation Police continues to search for suppliers of two firearms used by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) at kilometer 50 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Monday, December 7, 2020.
Bareskrim Polri’s director of general crimes, Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi, said investigators had difficulty finding the origin of the firearms allegedly carried by the FPI laskar while guarding Habib Rizieq Shihab.
He said that several of the witnesses who were questioned by investigators turned out to be not a single person who answered questions about the origin of these firearms.
“When it comes to firearms, only those who died know. But we will look for other sources to trace it,” Andi said when contacted by journalists on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
However, Andi said that investigators had found an indication of the origin of the firearms allegedly carried by the paramilitary FPI troops at kilometer 50 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. According to him, this was obtained when investigators tracked information from the cell phones of the six FPI Laskar members who died.
“In fact, we will explore and investigate where the source is coming from,” he said.
It was previously reported that Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Fadil Imran, said that members of the Bhayangkara corps were attacked by multiple people early on Monday, December 7, 2020.
This attack is believed to have something to do with the plan to summon the second Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front, Habib Rizieq Shihab, which was scheduled for Monday morning.
The incident occurred on the 50 km Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. At the time of the incident, a unit was moving. In a unit consists of six people. Meanwhile, the attack was carried out by those ten people.
In this attack, Kapolda said, the attacker had attacked with firearms and sharp weapons. Because the members’ safety was threatened, Fadil continued, the police eventually took action. The police fired at the attackers until six of them were killed.
6 FPI soldiers were killed, namely Andi Oktaviawan (33 years old), a resident of Cengkareng, in West Jakarta. Then Lutfi Hakim (24 years old), a resident of Cengkareng, in West Jakarta. Also, Faiz Ahmad Syukur (22 years old), M Reza (20 years old), Muhammad Suci Khadafi Poetra (21 years old) and Akhmad Sofian (26 years old).
Meanwhile, the Grand Imam of the FPI, Habib Muhammad Rizieq Shihab (HRS), said that the accusation that the FPI Laskar guarding him up to six people died carrying firearms and sharp weapons was a slander.
“The accusation that our bodyguards were armed is a big lie,” Habib Rizieq said. Youtube on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
According to him, none of the FPI Laskar guards was armed with a single person. This is because FPI never thought that Habib Rizieq Shihab would be treated as the incident at the Jakarta-Cikampek Kilometer 50 toll road on Monday, December 7, 2020.
“These guards only control ordinary families, they only control normal family standards,” he said.
Habib Rizieq Shihab admitted that it was four cars belonging to his family that made the trip yesterday, ranging from sons, sons-in-law to grandsons. In fact, there are still babies and children under 3-4 years old.
“The Laskar’s job is to watch, not to bother anyone. So it’s true that they are fulfilling their obligations,” Habib Rizieq said. (North American stock market)
