The president general of the Islamic Defenders Front, Ahmad Shabri Lubis, and the commander of Laskar Pembela Islam (LPI), Maman Suryadi, have been investigated as suspects in the crowd case in Petamburan, central Jakarta. A total of 13 hours, both were examined with 60 questions each by the researcher.

“Clergyman Shabri Lubis has about 63 questions. Ustadz Maman Suryadi has 62 questions,” said FPI Wasekum Aziz Yanuar at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on Monday (12/14/2020).

According to Aziz, investigators were looking for both of them, from their identity to the main case of the massive case. The two were charged under article 93 of Law No. 6 on sanitary quarantine and article 216 of the Penal Code on combat officers.

Additionally, Aziz said there were about 40 questions that were not answered by the two clients. This, Aziz continued, was based on the ignorance of the two suspects.

“(The unanswered questions) were around 40 because the interested party did not know. Ustadz Maman is mobile, so ustadz Shabri Lubis does not pay too much attention to the details of the things that he does not know, he does not know,” Aziz explained. . .

Regarding the two possibly detained suspects, Aziz was reluctant to comment further. He said this was the investigator’s authority to advertise.

“I don’t know. It is the investigator’s authority to respond,” he added.
