INDOZONE.ID – The death of Nafisah (12 years old), a high school girl who died after being washed away by the flooding of the Lamong River in Kedungrukem village, Benjeng district, Gresik, East Java, left her family in pain.

It was later discovered that, before being washed away by the floods, Nafisah had seen the floods that hit her village. Videos of him watching the floods have also circulated on social media.

At that moment, he was seen wearing a yellow shirt and blue pants. His left hand is holding something, while his right hand is holding a cell phone and it looks like he’s on the phone.

He walked several meters barefoot. However, it is not known how he was swept into the flood, until he was finally found dead.

It was previously reported, after being missing since Sunday (12/13/2020) for being washed away by the overflow of the Lamong River, Nafisah (12 years old), the girl who was still in grade 1 SMP was found on Monday (14 / 12/2020).

But unfortunately, Nafisah was lifeless when the residents found her. His body lay rigid with the last clothes he was wearing.

Videos were circulated on social media recording the moments when residents transported their bodies from the bottom of the flood. Residents gave signals while recording videos.

“Bismillah, Allah. Inna lillahi …” said the resident carrying the body.

According to Benjeng Police Chief AKP Lukman Hadi, residents found Nafisah’s body near the rice fields in Kedungrukem village, Benjeng, around 08:00 WIB. Residents evacuated him in a rubber boat and his body was taken to the Kedungrukem City Hall, before being sent to the local puskesmas and then handed over to his family.
