London –
Mikel Arteta once kicked Matteo Guendouzi out of the Arsenal team after strangling his opponent. Xhaka granite could suffer the same fate.
Arsenal lost 1-0 at home to Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Monday morning (12/14/2020) WIB. The visitors’ goal came through the suicide of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Before this goal happened, Arsenal had been unlucky. London Cannon had to play with 10 men in the 58th minute when Granit Xhaka received a red card after choking Ashley Westwood.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was very disappointed in Xhaka’s actions. Arteta does not want to defend the mistakes that his players have made.
“Yes (red cards are unacceptable). In my opinion, I really want to do well, compete to do everything. We take it to the wrong side, when you cross the line they punish you,” Arteta told the BBC.
Arteta once exiled Matteo Guendouzi for strangling players. The moment occurred at the end of Arsenal’s game against Brighton.
Not only did Guendouzi no longer defend Arsenal for the remainder of the 2019/2020 season, but the 21-year-old midfielder was also told to train separately. In the end, Guendouzi was loaned out to Herta Berlin at the start of the 2020/2021 season.
With this defeat, Arsenal continue to rank 15th in the Premier League standings with 13 points. Worse still, Arsenal have only won one point and one goal in the last five Premier League games.
