Janitor at Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School in Jakarta, KH Noer Muhammad Iskandar SQ, died on Sunday (12/13) around 1:41 PM WIB.

Quoted from nu.or.id, the news of KH Noer Muhammad Iskandar’s death initially circulated on the chat app. Then, after being clarified to one of the deceased’s son-in-law, namely West Java PWNU President KH Hasan Nuri Hidayatullah, confirmed the news.

Kiai Noer Iskandar’s body is currently buried in the Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding Complex, Kedoya, in West Jakarta.

Quoted from the official Ashiddiqiyah website, KH Noer Muhammad Iskandar was born in Sumber Beras, Banyuwangi, East Java, on July 5, 1955. He was known as a preacher on one of the national televisions.

Kiai Noer began his education at a traditional Islamic boarding school in East Java and then went to school in Jakarta and developed a boarding school in the big cities.

He made a long journey and struggled to build an Islamic boarding school in the capital, thanks to the strong support and encouragement of Kiai Mahrus Ali, the director of the Lirboyo Kediri Islamic boarding school, Kyai Noer Muhammad Iskandar, SQ was also successful.

Asshiddiqiyah Islamic boarding school itself was founded in the month of Rabiul Awal 1406H (July 1985 AD).

Now more than a quarter of a century old, Asshiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School has opened 11 Islamic boarding schools in various areas including Kedoya, Jakarta, Batu Ceper, Tangerang, Cimalaya, Karawang, Serpong, Tangerang, Cijeruk, Bogor, Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra , Right Way, Lampung, Gunung Sugih, Lampung and Cianjur, West Java.
