JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) has not yet been officially declared a social organization (Ormas).
“We consider that there is no mass organization (FPI),” Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD, said on Friday (11/12/2020), quoted on Tribunnews.com.
This is because FPI has not complied with the requirements such as Ormas stipulated in the Ministry of the Interior.

The most important provisions to be officially declared as mass organizations in Indonesia are a declaration of allegiance to the Pancasila ideology in the Articles of Association and Statutes (AD / ART) of the FPI.
However, in AD / ART, FPI does not include Pancasila, but establishes a caliphate.
So far, FPI has not improved this statute. However, if this has been corrected and complied with, the government will immediately issue a mass organizing permit.
