JAKARTA – The Grand Imam of the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) Habib Rizieq Shihab kept his promise to visit the Jakarta Police. He admitted that he came to Polda Metro Jaya to be examined as a suspect in accordance with legal regulations.

Habib Rizieq went to Metro Polda after he was identified as a suspect in incitement and the crowd and would be arrested. Previously, he twice failed to respond to police summons for health reasons. Habib Rizieq was also charged with articles 160-216 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of 6 years in prison.
The General Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Díaz Hendropriyono, immediately wrote and uploaded a photo of the arrival of Habib Rizieq to his Instagram account.

The Chairman General of the Indonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI) hopes that Habib Rizieq will always be healthy and hints that he will be able to meet in 2026.
“Alhamdulillah, I can still smile. Always healthy, sir. Hopefully everything is fine. See you in 2026 !!!!”, he wrote on his Instagram account @ diaz.hendropriyono, on Saturday (12/12/2020) .
Just to point out, there are two articles imposed on Habib Rizieq, namely Articles 160 and 216 of the Penal Code.
Article 160 establishes: “Whoever in public, orally or in writing, instigates a criminal act, commits violence against a public authority or does not comply with the provisions of the law or with a mandate issued based on the provisions of the law, will be punishable by a maximum penalty of six prison terms. years or a maximum fine of four thousand five hundred rupees ”
Meanwhile, Article 216 of the Penal Code, which establishes: “Whoever deliberately does not obey orders or requests made in accordance with the law by an official whose function is to control something, or by an official based on his functions, is also authorized to investigate or investigate a criminal act; Intentionally preventing, obstructing or thwarting the action to enforce the provisions of the law by one of these officials will be punished with a maximum prison sentence of four months and two weeks or a maximum fine of Rp9,000.
